Ed Norwood, founder of The Actors Service, is a highly accomplished and internationally connected actor, writer, and photographer. With a career spanning over two decades, Ed has become a trusted figure in the entertainment industry, offering invaluable guidance to actors worldwide.

Ed launched The Actors Service in 2018 during the height of the #MeToo movement, driven by a mission to create a safe and supportive space for actors seeking representation. Recognizing the challenges and vulnerabilities actors face, he set out to provide a resource where they could access trusted industry contacts, professional guidance, and a secure environment to advance their careers.

Ed’s training includes some of the most prestigious institutions in the world: Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and currently, The Actors Studio, known for producing legendary talents like Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Marlon Brando. He has also expanded his expertise through studies at Sundance Co//ab, Harvard Business School, and Meta, blending creative artistry with sharp business acumen.

Since 1998, Ed has been a prominent figure in British theatre, starring in two Andrew Lloyd Webber hit musicals and playing a leading role in Pink Floyd’s The Wall tour, among many other notable productions. His experience spans acting, writing, and photography, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s artistic and technical demands.

In 2013, Ed moved to Los Angeles, where he continues to thrive as a dual-market professional, represented in both the UK and the US. He is a familiar face at industry-leading events such as the Golden Globes and the Sundance Film Festival, highlighting his deep and influential connections.
